CONSULTANT CARDIOLOGIST

JOB DESCRIPTION
Diagnose and treat diseases of heart and its functions.

Examine patients for symptoms indicative of heart disorders, using medical instruments and equipment.
Study diagnostic images and electrocardiograph recordings to aid in making diagnoses.
Prescribe medications, and recommends dietary and activity program, as indicated.
Refer patients to the interventional cardiologist when need for corrective surgery is indicated.
Engage in research to study the epidemiology or clinical effectiveness of diseases peculiar to heart.
Examine patients to find health problems caused by a variety of cardiology and internal medicine conditions.
